Our facilities
Located in a prime position in Cresswell Towers Holiday Park, this holiday home benefits from onsite facilities, open seasonally (March-November), these include a bar (dog friendly zone until 8pm), restaurant (dog friendly zone until 8pm), entertainment complex, a mini-mart, swimming pool and football/ball enclosure. The swimming pool boasts an impressive activity timetable for kids and big kids alike. The children's play park is open all year round. Please note, charges apply for selected activites and passes can be purchased from the Parkdean reception (advanced booking highly recommeded for swimming). A selection of board games are included during your stay, suitable for all ages.
Purchased in 2026, this, residential grade, luxury lodge features integrated appliances throughout such as a dishwasher, washer/dryer and Bluetooth speakers in the lounge/diner. The open-plan layout is spacious, light and airy, and decorated in a calming coastal palette. The sliding patio doors allow for outdoor/indoor living. The decking area, which is fully enclosed, allows guests to soak up the sun and features an outdoor dining set. The are 2 bedrooms, comprising of a king-master with ensuite and a zip and links beds in the second bedroom that convert effortlessly from a superking to x 2 twin beds. The main bathroom features a bathtub (with shower), ideal for a long soak after a hard days walking. The accommodation also features a utility room which is ideal for dusting off sandy paws. For walking enthusiasts, we have a boot store integrated into a storage bench located next to the back door. Private parking for 1 car is included and is directly in front of the property.

About us
I first discovered Cresswell in 2024, having fallen in love with Beadnell, further north, earlier in the year. As a self-certified beach-bum, it was love at first sight! Water so clear you can see your toes and miles upon miles of powdery sand that could rival a beach in the med. I made it my mission to spend more time in Northumberland with my young terrier pup, who is obsessed with beaches and moves at such a speed, we can be on the beach in 5 mins. This is where the Puffins journey begins! Our sister property, The Tipsy Puffin, came first and was such a resounding success that, when the opportunity presented itself to purchase The Salty Puffin this year (2026), I jumped at the chance.
I fell in love with the holiday home; full of light and space which creates a truly calming setting. After 15+ years working in the hospitality industry, it was a natural progression for me to enter the UK domestic holiday rental market. I love to welcome guests and share experiences. We hope that we have created a luxurious home away from home that you won't want to leave. You may even sulk, like me, all the way home!
The Land of castles
The region is home to Alnwick, Bamburgh, Dunstanburgh, Lindisfarne and Walkworth castles (and many more). Most are open to the public.
A real 'foodie' scene
Northumberland has some great places to eat and is fast becoming a foodie hotspot in the North. From pop-up barbecues on the beach, run by the Ship Inn at Newton-by-the-sea, to gastro pubs . If you love sea food, then look no further than Riley's Fish Shack at Tynemouth or The Potted Lobster at Bamburgh. The region features too many amazing pubs to mention but one of our favourites is The Lord Crewe at Bamburgh. And dog friendly!!!!!
Cresswell's very own, The Drift Cafe, has recently been named one of the best in Europe so give them a visit when you are here....then go and get an icecream from Cresswell ices; family owned and all homemade!
Leisure time
Sip a Pilgrim coffee and immerse yourself in the history of Lindisfarne or chat with a Lady in the poison garden at Alnwick. A highlight for us is taking one of the many puffin excursions, by boat, over to the Farne islands to see these amazing little birds. 2026 has seen record numbers of puffins, who come, to the east coast of the UK, every April to breed. You might also spot some Orkas, off Beadnell Bay, on their travels! Excursions run for most of the year (weather permitting) and depart from Amble!
Beaches
You are spoiled for choice!
Cresswell beach is nothing short of spectacular; golden sands and crystal clear sea a mere 5-10 min walk from our door. Head further up the beach to reach the town of Amble.
Beadnell Bay, Bamburgh & Embleton Bay are all award-winning beaches that are well worth a visit.

The Tipsy Puffin is our 3 bed, 2 bathroom holiday home, designed to feel like a cosy-cottage retreat with the added luxury of modern comforts to enhance your stay. Both properties come with the following inclusions as standard:
